You are allergic to orlistat
You have gallbladder problems

You are pregnant
You are between 12 to 18 years of age
Maintain caution while using Xenical if:
You have a history of gallstones or kidney stones
You have an underactive thyroid
You have diabetes (Type 1 or 2)
You have a history of pancreatitis
You have anorexia or bulimia
You are using other otc weight loss supplements
You have kidney problems
You have liver disease.
Maintain caution if you use the following drugs:
Insulin or medications for diabetes
Medicines used for controlling epileptic seizures

Xenical reduces the ability of the body to absorb vitamins which are soluble in fat. This includes Vitamin A, D, E, and K. It may lead to a Vitamin deficiency in the body. Your doctors may recommend taking additional Vitamin supplements to compensate for this.
Xenical cannot be used as a standalone medication for weight loss. It has to be combined with regular diet and exercise.
Do not use Xenical if you are pregnant. It causes severe damage to the unborn fetus.
Mild side effects are commonly experienced while using Xenical. They do not need medical treatment and usually subside on their own. Some examples are oily or fatty stools; oily spotting in your undergarments; orange or brown colored oil in your stool; gas and oily discharge; loose stools, or an urgent need to go to the bathroom, inability to control bowel movements; an increased number of bowel movements; or stomach pain, nausea, rectal pain.
If these side effects become bothersome or do not fade away after a while, then seek medical assistance.
Serious side effects that need immediate medical assistance are rare.
Some of them are severe pain in your lower back; blood in your urine, painful or difficult urination; kidney problems--little or no urinating; swelling in your feet or ankles; feeling tired or short of breath; or liver problems--nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, tired feeling, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes).
