Silagra is a PDE5 inhibitor medication that boosts the supply of blood to the penile muscles and helps men gain an erection. It is used to treat erectile dysfunction in impotent men.


Dosage and Time


Take one dose of Silagra at least 60 minutes before having sexual intercourse with or without a meal. Avoid alcoholic beverages.


Do not use more than one dose in a day.




Store Silagra at room temperature in a cool and dark place. Keep away from children and pets.

Speak about your medical history to your healthcare provider.

Mention complete and accurate details about existing medical conditions, known allergies to food or drugs, dietary supplements, vitamins, minerals, herbal supplements or OTC medications that you may be using.

Do not use Silagra if:

You are allergic to sildenafil citrate.
You have suffered a heart attack or a stroke recently
You have been prescribed nitrate based medicines like isosorbide, nitroglycerin in any form. These are usually prescribed for conditions like angina.
You have kidney disease or are on dialysis.
You have hematological malignancies or problems like sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or leukemia
You have an eye problem called retinitis pigmentosa which is an inherited disorder
You have penile deformities like peyronie’s disease

Mention to the doctor if:

You are using one of the below mentioned medications. It may cause a severe reaction when used with Silagra.
Bbosentan (Tracleer)
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Cimetidine (Tagamet, Tagamet HB)
An antibiotic such as erythromycin (E-Mycin, Eryc, Ery-Tab) or clarithromycin (Biaxin); doxazosin (Cardura), prazosin (Minipress), Terazosin (Hytrin)
HIV medicines such as amprenavir (Agenerase), tipranavir (Aptivus), darunavir (Prezista), efavirenz (Sustiva), nevirapine (Viramune), indinavir (Crixivan), saquinavir (Invirase, Fortovase), lopinavir/ritonavir (Kaletra), fosamprenavir (Lexiva), ritonavir (Norvir), atazanavir (Reyataz), or nelfinavir (Viracept)
An antifungal medication such as itraconazole (Sporanox) or ketoconazole (Nizoral); carbamazepine (Tegretol), phenobarbital (Luminal), or phenytoin (Dilantin); or rifampin (Rifadin, Rimactane) or rifabutin (Mycobutin).

Seek emergency medical assistance if:

You experience a sudden pain in the chest, shoulder, neck, or jaw pain; numbness of an arm or leg; severe dizziness, headache, nausea, stomach pain, or vomiting; fainting; or vision changes during or after sexual activity. This may be an early indication of a heart attack.
You experience a painful erection which lasts for more than a couple of hours.
You experience sudden vision loss or loss of hearing.

Side Effects

Mild side effects are commonly experienced while using Silagra. They do not need medical treatment and usually subside on their own. Some examples are warmth or redness in your face, neck, or chest; stuffy nose; headache or an upset stomach.

Vision problems have been reported rarely.

If these side effects become bothersome or do not fade away after a while, then seek medical assistance.

Serious side effects that need immediate medical assistance are rare. Some of them are sudden vision loss; ringing in your ears, or sudden hearing loss.

Please contact your doctor immediately if you notice any serious side effects.
