Femcare is an antifungal therapy that limits the growth of yeast in the vagina. It is used for treating vaginal fungal infections.
It is only useful for treating fungal infections though. It cannot treat bacterial infections of the vagina.

Femcare is an antifungal medication that needs to be taken for a stipulated period of time for it to be effective. Do not discontinue dosage suddenly without speaking to your doctor. Also, do not take the medication for a prolonged time period.
Tampons, douches or other vaginal products are strictly prohibited while using Femcare.
Try to take the medication at the same time everyday to avoid missing a dose. If you have missed a dose and it is almost time for the next dose, then skip the missed one and continue with the regular dosage. Alternatively, if you remember immediately, then you may take the missed dose. Never double up to compensate for a missed dose.
Store Femcare at room temperature in a cool and dark place. Keep away from children and pets.
Safety Information/ Warning Precautions
Speak about your medical history to your healthcare provider.
Mention complete and accurate details about existing medical conditions, known allergies to food or drugs, dietary supplements, vitamins, minerals, herbal supplements or OTC medications that you may be using.
Do not use Femcare if:
You are allergic to it
You are allergic to other azole antifungal agents (such as terconazole, fluconazole)
Maintain caution while using Femcare if:
You have diabetes
You have immune system problems (such as HIV-AIDS)
You are experiencing frequent vaginal yeast infections (more than 3 in 6 months or 4 in 1 year)
Maintain caution if you use the following drugs:
Corticosteroids (such as prednisone)
Drugs that suppress the immune system (such as cyclosporine, methotrexate)
Please be informed:
Speak to your doctor if you wish to have sexual intercourse as it can reduce the effectiveness of products like condoms, cervical caps and diaphragms.
If you are pregnant, then you must contact your doctor to speak about using Femcare. There may be risks or benefits that you need to be aware of. Femcare is found in breast milk. Do not breast feed while using Femcare.
Mild side effects are commonly experienced while using Femcare. They do not need medical treatment and usually subside on their own. Some examples are Vaginal/urethral burning/itching/pain, or lower abdominal cramps.
If these side effects become bothersome or do not fade away after a while, then seek medical assistance.
Serious side effects that need immediate medical assistance are rare.
Some of them are severe allergic reactions rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
Please contact your doctor immediately if you notice any serious side effects.
